Default Does anyone sell a complete kit for f-body to relocate battery?

I'm looking into relocating the battery to the rear spare tire area of my trans am. I know i need the tray to hold the battery, the 0-2 guage wire to run, the turn off switch and the bar/handle to make it legal, etc. I was wondering if anyone/any sponsors sells a complete kit for the f-body with everything there to make for an easy install rather than piecing together parts from all over? Thanks!

I'm not aware of anyone that makes a full kit. You will also need a vented box because technically our cars don't have a trunk, even if you put it in the spare tire well, it's considered driver compartment. Or you can go with a dry-cell battery that doesn't give off fumes or leak if it tips. How fast do you plan on going? The rear-mount switch isn't required until you run a 10.00 or faster (I'm pretty sure).A rear-mount battery setup is approximately 30lbs heavier than a front mount setup with a lightweight battery. Keep it in the front if you can, it saves a hassle at tech inspection too.

Well i am looking to relocate just for the fact that i could use the space up front to mount something else. I currently just run a regular 6 year battery up front. What do you mean by a vented box? So if i wanted to piece it all together.... some good parts would be..

-BMR battery tray
-Flaming River large switch?
-0 or 2 guage wire... any know of a close range of how many feet needed?
-Does the flaming river switch come with the handle as well? If not i'll need the bar/handle.
-Anything else?

Yep, you can either use a wet-cell battery with an outside sealed vented box, or just a bracket and a dry-cell battery.

See the link on post #3 and scroll to the bottom. Look at the corner of the box and you'll see the vent tubes. Your wet cell battery gives off fumes that need to be vented outside, and the box needs to contain your battery FLUID in the event that you roll your car at the track.
