"race" switch panels
hey guys
well I finally have accepted the fact that my "street car" is becomming more and more of a strip car.
I've got about a million switches between my nitrous and all of the possible accessories you can think of, lights, and misc other switches.
I'm looking for some ideas on a trick switch panel. I'm running a full stock interior, with the addition of the 6pt roll bar.
I've seen every possible nitrous switch panel out there, and none are going to be big enough. I plan on making something myself. Luckily I have access to CNC machines and a laser.
Anybody out there have some pictures so I can get some ideas? I don't want to cut or drill the interior in any way. Its a very clean setup so far.
Right now I'm figuring I'm going to have to make some kind of arm to hold the panel.

looks like he does good work, but my problem isn't making a panel, its more of where the hell to put everything so I can shift, use the passenger seat and have it still look tasteful...

Thats gets tricky since im assuming you still have heater controls, a radio and a center console.
I think your best bet is a top mounted roll bar panel it's out of the way but still has everything you need.

Just a thought, b/c I've considered doing this myself. Make a panel that goes in the center console storage compartment. It's not hard to get to, and since you dont have a halo type cage it will still be easy to look to your side to turn things on before the run, purge would be easy to get to.. etc
However, if it doesnt have a/c you could make a panel to fill in there, and you could fit 8 switches there, just have to use some smaller toggels. That would still look clean IMO

yeah i've considered the center console, it'll just get a lil tricky with my line lock and stuff
it'd be nice to have something i could reach quickly, incase I need to shut it off
maybe i'll use this long weekend to figure something out...
