I would like to know why the afco's are better than the strange shocks. They are about a 100 bucks more/shock. Is it the adjustability. Thanks for any input.

I'm adding about 200 HP to my car this winter and it'll be in the 5.60's range 1/8 mile, it was fine with cheapy comp engineering fronts running 5.90's until they finally wore out. I'm a college student so if I can get by with cheapy Koni's (non coil over) I'd like to but if it helps launching straight/consistancy I'm all for Afcos.
Good thread, I almost started this same one a few days ago.

AFCO has the best valving if you look at dyno tests. its just a bit better for the guy that knows what they're doing when doing adjustments. right now i have the Strange shocks on my own cr, but will be selling them off to run the AFCO's sometime in the future.
keep in mind... the Strange shocks have both adjusting ***** on the bottom of the shock as to where AFCO's have the extension adjuster on the top, and the compression adjuster on the bottom. the extension adjuster on the top of the AFCO shocks can be a pain to get at for adjustments. you can cut a hole in the shock tower to access it better on the front set, the rear set will be inside the car where the shock bolts in the car.
look me up when you go to buy... i have the best deals out there on all of them.

Ok I'm sitting on massive christmas money so I'm going to buy my shocks for the front. I know a lot of you mess around with all kinds of cars so I figured I'd post this up for my specific case.
This is going on a '67 Camaro stock front stub car. I'm thinking about the DA Afcos, with those can I adjust on them with the car on the scales and change the weights around or do I need the QA1 Coil over setup? I want a setup that's good for consistancy as well as adjustability although we'll probably only screw with it a few times and be done. I'm a poor college kid so I'm all for taking in advice before I dish out $350+.
EDIT: Just got my answer on the scale question, is it worth the extra cash to go to a coil over setup in your opinions?
