Crossing the line @ 5500, 6000 & 6500rpm, et/mph difference?
Currently with my 26" ET streets I cross the end lines at 6000rpm & I make peak power at ~ 6200rpm. Going with 4.10 gears would make me cross the lines at 6500, but how much et/mph am I going to gain & would it be really worth the change?
Furthermore, Iam thinking about buying a pair of 28" Hoosier slicks in order to get some extra traction over the ET streets. However, with my current 3.73 gears I would crossing the lines at ~5500rpm, would that offset any 60' improvements that I might get from the 28" slicks?

If you are peaking at 6200 rpms then you should be shifting around 6500+ Right? 4.10's are much better then the 3.73's . and If you are runnig on sliks than go 4.30's . If you move up to 28 inch tall sliks the car is going to bogg big time. mine bogs at 5000 rpm launches on 26x11.5x16 inch et streets and dead hooks. I have left at 4500 rps on my nittos wich are a .5 inch shorter and dead hooked and no bogg. My best on et streets 1.68 my best on nittos1.678. It has alot more in it on et streets if I would have went up to 6000 rpms but I dont want to beet on my car so I sold the et streets. jmho
