Default Old weight reduction question but cant find piks

I want to remove the sections of metal behind the front fenders but cant recall what they are called therefore search is not getting me there. I want piks of how much metal I can safely remove and what can I do to make it stealthy. I dont want to be able to look in right in front of the front wheel wells and see that they are removed.

Thanks, Tom
