Default BS3 and racepack ultra dash?

I am trying to get a grip on the total cost of this setup. I was searching and came up with these components and prices:

BS3-004-019 GEN3 PRO SEFI System -LS1, DAE, DAI $2995
Can Interface to RacePak Hud Upgrade $385
250-DS-UDX-BS3 $895

Can I use my VSS sensor in my TH400 for DS revolutions on the BS3?

Does this sound right? Do you need any special sensors, like for fuel and oil pressure? What am I leaving out?

Dan

I ordered this same setup from W2W about 3 weeks ago... got it a week or so ago. I would just call Wheel 2 Wheel and talk to Kurt, He has always helped me out and if you order from them you know your going to get some great customer service!

You would need to purchase the sensors for the fuel/oil to make use of the DAE.

As for other options, it really depends on what you want this system to do?

I talked to Kurt yesterday. I guess I'm trying to convince myself here to do this since I know I will sooner or later. The cost is heavy and funds are going fast now finishing it all up.

It's a tough one for sure, I'm with you, it's about $4500 I didn't plan yet, but may squeeze it in after adding up the rest of my build.

I want to eliminate my stock PCM all together which means no stock guages anymore. Sounds like the racepack dash is the a better way to go then putting in autometer guages. Also like the 3 step feature of the BS3 and want the TC feature using the DS revolutions .

With the cost I may have to do this later than sooner though, but I'm gonna try to budget it in now if possible, just have tons more stuff to get to finish off the build. Other wise I will use the stock PCM and an Injector impedence converter piggy backed until funds are replinished.

Thanks for all the coments.

I dont think you will regret spending the money on it now. If you have room in your budget go for it!

I've spent all this money on a set of Autometer gauges when I could have just gone this direction but I did not know at the time.

What does the "Fuel Pressure Upgrade" get you? I'm not familiar w/that. DAE logs fuel pressure. You'll also need a driveshaft speed pickup- we use an inexpensive unit from edelbrock. MadMan is a dealer too, check w/him for pricing.

Not sure what the fuel pressure upgrade does, I'll scratch it from my list since DAE option already does it. Can I just use my VSS on my tailshaft to log DS speed?

I'm trying hard to fit it in, should be able to do it.

I added all the autometer stuff up to, came out to even more, but something about mechanical type gauges that I like. The ultra dash looks cool though and found that Bowman (Outlaw02) sold one a bit back for cheap and he's right around the corner from me. I never catch the deals .

the vss reluctor and pickup on your trans will work for driveshaft speed input to the BS3.

Default 250-ds-udxsr

I have a Racepack dash for sale. P/N is 250-DS-UDXSR. Purchased it for $800+ and never installed it. It is still new in the box. My truck lost a fight with a tree I can take pics and/or send you copy of the owners manual if you need it.
