Default 26" OR 28" drag radials?

right now I run the m/t drag radials and there 26" have any of you run those diameter tire and then changed over to 28" and seen any difference good or bad?. Right now on the 26" I'm pulling 1.52 to 1.60 60' but thinking about going to a 28" if it helps.

You need to list more info, gear ratio, mph you run in the 1/4, ET in the 1/4, stick or auto, max rpm you rev it to, from the 60ft I would have to guess you're some where in the lower-mid 11 sec range.

List the other stuff I asked and I'll try to give you and honest opinion.

A taller tire is always going to hook better. With a 3.73, you'll be fine on the gear ratio as well. If the car is spinning sometimes, go with the 28". If it hooks every time, leave it alone! Your 60's are excellent for your setup, if it does that consistently, I wouldn't touch it.

Is that all motor, or a blower or something? Is the car spinning? Is it full weight?

I don't know if I would call a 1.53 excellent for a 10.80 pass.

We were running low 1.5's on 11.50 passes.

The 60 foot should actually be about .1 faster for that et.

With that mph I would think you could squeeze a 10.50/10.60's out of it.

Any reason you're still running the stock 10 bolt? That thing has to be on the limit every time you race it.

if you're running on motor - a 28" tall tire and a 3.73 isn't going to be anywhere near optimal.

if you can dead hook consistantly on a 26" tire, i wouldn't change it. if you feel you need a taller tire to hook the car, then you'll need to change the gear ratio as well.

if your running out of gear its a good changes. Run the calculator and compare it to a dyno graph, then once the combo(engine power, trans, race weight) is finished, you can dial it in from there.
