Default Do I need a new stall??

I got a Vig 4400 and a TH-400. I am changing my setup this winter to a 408. Do you guys think I should change the stall or will I get by for now. The longtime goal is to have Marty at Neal Chance spec me out one, but $1200isnt on the budget right now

I think 4400 is fine unless it's a dedicated motor only car that only sees race track action.

Besides 1,200.00 is a lot to shell out before you even run the car first.

Leave the converter in and try it first. That converter is rated at 4400 with stockish power, with another 60 CI and probably 150 hp more then a stock motor will make it will probably behave like a 5000, which if you're gonna run the 10.50 index n/a will get you right about where you want to be.

I played with a similar type setup all season and had my car running right on the 10.5x # every tiem I went to the track so I can tell you for sure your gearing is right, your cam choice is fine, just make sure you have some compression to go with it, don't ***** out and try to get away with a pump gas 11 to 1 or anything like that, go a good 12.5 to 1 at a minimum and it will make good power. Your converter is a touch tighter then what I was running, but I'd try it first.

ATI has a special going on converters until January 18th i believe. The price on a Treemaster MRT is a fantastic deal right now. I am sure they could spec something out for you.
