Great set up. Too bad it is so expensive since you have to buy the rearend also.

I really like the added tunnel clearance on the side, I bet they are not that hard to make, if you could make a custom bracket for the rear end to move the upper and lower mounting points in more and up higher on top.

I wonder if you could actually just make tabs on the standard 9" rears and then make a torque arm like that???

yup, i have some custom engineering on mine, i think i have a pic that sort of shows it around here somewhere......

shows the lower side, top is the same, and there is a little brace on the pass side too, to triangulate it

How much clearance do you have on the side?

Hell my torque arm rubs on the trans tunnel just sitting at ride hight and I still have to drop it about 1" LOL.

there is at least an inch all the way down, even where the fuel line is...that i have to move lol. (nhra rules no fuel lines in driveshaft tunnel) all these rules...one day it will be legal for something...maybe.

Most have 2 sets of mounting holes, put the bracket in the other set and it will clear the floorboard...mine did.

So yours clears with a 9" and the second set of outer holes used?

How low is your car though, Right now my fender to ground is about 27.5" and I have to lower the car about an inch to inch and a half more still.

Mine clears, I think I am at 27.5 in the rear now....cant remember....but I have lots of room.

Unless you run a fuel cell inside the car, you will hit the fuel tank. My factory tank is notched for the 9 inch.

Post a photo of how much you notched yours, I am using my stock tank and I can just cut it and make room on it too since I already cleaned out the gas and have it ready for welding on.

I already covered the factory fill tube hole and drilled and welded on the cap up top.

I'll notch that thing all the way up to the top, I just need to know how far to go width wise, besides losing a couple gallon capacity will help with weight, how much will yours hold?

Sorry but since we're on torque arms and clearance might as well throw in up top clearance too

Mine holds "about" 13 gallons, but it screws up the fuel gauge It still reads but is screwey.1/8 tank is empty, you can put 5 gallons in on empty and it goes to 3/4.

I am at work now, will post pics of the tank when I get home.

I don't care as long as it reads empty before I run out LOL.

13 gallons is good, mines a "street car"

The moser peice was designed for maximum tunnel fit. This tq arm is a peice of art, not just another tq arm. For the money the M9 package is a steal, a full chromoly tq arm and x-member and 9" fab housing. The tq arm has a slider up top for the xmember and as well as an adjuster in the rear for angle. 1.28 60fts so far on radials, not too shabby for all of 6 runs on the car.

Yes, it is a very nice piece, I like the new setup.

What I want no one makes yet.

Fabbed rear with dana 60 gears in a drop out 9" style center section.

hmm, I got a weird one for you...i have 12 bolt gm gears in that rear, in a 9 inch style center section, I have no idea where it came from either so i cant answer that, and somebody does make a 9 1/2 setup that uses dana gears, for a fab 9 housing. But that moser piece is pretty beasty looking.

Strange makes a 12 bolt gears center section that bolts into a 9"

As far as the dana 60 gear, the only one I know of in a 9" uses a 9.5 gear, I didn't know if they were dana gears, because the dana is a 9 3/4" gear.

Strange also makes those, it's big bore case, not the 3.250 the next size up 3.812 and 4.0 bore ultra centers. It will run a 9.5 ring gear, but the thing is I want one with dana gears setup like a dana, it has a better pinion placement compared to the 9" so it will be more efficient.

So something like the 12 bolt in center for the 9" housing, except a fabbed housing with a center section with factory located dana 60 specs that will drop into a fabbed housing.
