Default A4+ET Streets

I am looking for the best way to luanch my car. I have never raced with et streets before and don't know what to expect. I will be running 26x10.5x16 et streets outback with the regular 17's up front. Any suggestions?

Stall up to like 2K. release brake, mash gas. with the vigs, the less you stall them, the more they flash and the faster you go. some say different. If you spin, roll on the go pedal slower or stall higher.

Heat them up good...4-6 second burnout..I usually put my tranny in 2nd gear and let it tach out in both gears then release brake and role out of throttle.

When you see the last Amber Light:

Stomp, Steer...enjoy timeslip!

Have fun.

when i had stock heads with the 224/224 cam and vig3600 i left around 1800rpms slightly rolling tinto the throttle and then mashing just so it was easier on my rear. The more you load the rear, the less chance of breaking it. But with that verter the closer you WOT to idle, usually the better it does. I mean it got me a 11.50 before the heads leaving at 1800ish. Now with the TEA heads I hope to see some low low 11's or better and good weather. Also, try to get all the weight out of the car you dont need

So basically just stall up a little bit to protect the rear and just roll into it? Do I have to worry about the stabilty of the car at the top of the track? A friend mentioned once that if I didn't run a Bias Ply tire up front when running the Et Streets the car will get unstable at the top of the track. Is that possible?

just depends how much air you run in the rear tires. I ran 21pounds in mine and you could feel the car swaying a little after the 1/8th. The less air you run, the more unstable the car will be. I dunno how the guys that run 12-14psi stand it up top LMAO.

But Loading the rear and slightly running before WOTing has saved my rear alot I think. Im not rolling a long ways(hard to explain). Its just enough to make it easier on the rear. Plus it hooks well so Trying WOT'ing or rolling. Just depends on the track prep. I run Metric radials on my skinnies also. I think they are the cheapest tire made. 44 PSI up front and 20-21 in the et streets were good for me

I've had my ET Streets at 14-16 PSI and experienced no stability at the far end of the track. There is a slight swaying motion, however.

also depends on how much your car weighs... i mean a 3600 pound car would experience my drift then a 3200 pound one on the same tires

just put on the et streets and go out on the street at 20psi and you will find out took me a while to get use to them. I air them to 30psi for street driving though

Here's how I run my car...Stage 2+ GTP heads, all bolt on's with MTI X1 cam...with 16" Drag radials I stall up to about 2200 and go...I pull 1.65's with the DR's easy...with my 28x11.5x15 Et Streets, I put the car in second...spin thru the water to get'em wet..then pull forward and spin the tires up to about 5K...let the car shift to 2nd...as soon as the car starts to climb above 5K I release the brake and go forward about 10ft and then pull up to the line. I stall up to about 1200-1500 rpms and flash the **** outta the converter and yank the front tires...I usually grab a good 1.55 or better 60' even with my STOCK 10BOLT 323 gears.

Hope this helps guys.

PS. My drag radials are usually about 18psi and I ROAST THOSE F*CKERS...my ET's run about 15psi and I do the above type burnout. You HAVE TO ROAST THE DR'S for them to hook.
