In doing the !PS mod.... while maintaining the stock steering rack, what do you guys thing of just plugging the lines that go up to the power steering pump. One is a pressure line and one is a return.
I was thinking these lines could just be plugged up instead of looped. It'd be a lot easier. That way you could also leave the other lines in tact.
What do you guys think?

I like the looping idea better, since that will allow fluid travel in the rack even though the pump isn't there...
I don't honestly know if it really makes any difference, though... Mine is just looped...

George, I know exactly what you are talking about.
However I think that the 2 brake line style lines on the PS are the directional lines.
The one feed from the pump is a pressure feed wich helps "pusH" the rack which way you turn where as the other i think is just a pressure vent.
That's how I think it works.
I'm going to see if I can pick up some plugs at Pep Boys and we'll see how that works.

Re: !PS, Loop the lines or just plug the holes?
Thanks guys.. I looked all over for plugs but I couldn't find any that fit right or weren't extremely heavy.. so I looped the lines AND took pics!! I also took pics of my !ABS which is NOT easy.. I'll post them soon.
