You know of course that you've now jinxed yourself and something will break within a month

I had more trhan 300 launches on my stock rear (with 4.10s) clutch and tranny. Probably 250 on ET Streets, about 150 on stage II heads/cam/headers and about 25 on a 100 shot of nitrous. The clutch started slipping towards the end. I finally ended up spinning a bearing in the motor and went with a stroker, TH350, and F*rd 9" rear. Stock rear and tranny are still fine and are sitting in my garage.

Jim:I was about to say the same.

You are best notn to even worry about it and TRY to brake it everytime at the track We all know when we dont ant something to brake it will, but if we try to brake it then it wont LMAO

ive probably got 200-300 on my car with 44kmile and most of them were 1.6 60's and knock on wood. Dunno how she will like the heads this year though...

ive got a spare in that case

The stock 10 bolt in an automatic will most likely last the longest by preloading before launch and rolling/feathering the pedal--but may not be the fastest/maximum launch. Lauching with full blast (high rpm launch)and slicks will increase the chances of damanging rearend- Just my humble observation.

LOL i think i hold the record on that because everyone says i got a "special" car from the factory on holding up parts. I had around 800-900 track passes on my first rear end and around 950 track passes on my tranny but i broke another rear end that day with only 50 passes between the first one that broke,so you never know. My car has 80K miles on it with a TON of abuse. New motor will be in the future next year sometime
