Have any of you made the ram air functional?
I am thinking it is definitely possible to do and maybe even benefit as much as a FTRA or SSRA system. The single baffle inside the hood scoop would have to be removed and then some oval plumbing would have to be made in order to provide a smooth tunnel for the air to flow through. Finally, the lower air box would have to be uncut and then any spaces between the air box and the hood would have to be sealed. This set up should cut down on intake air temps also, especially at the starting line.

slp claims 10hp gain... (yeah right)
i bought one of these hoods for my 02 z28 and it is ram air. i am looking for a trans am airbox because it is taller in the front to take advantage of the ram air effect. also cut the inner oval of the hood and use foam to seal everything up.
