Default New housing from Burkhart

New housing for Six Speed Inc. Burkhart did some custom mounts for the car and narrowed it 5" per side. We also included the factory style torque arm mount to make it legal for stock suspension racing.

Nice looking piece. 5 inch chop per side, that's seriously narrowed, what offset rim is gonna get used with that, and is the car minitubbed? I've never heard of anyone going that skinny... axles have got to be nice and short, nevermind the whole thing being a good bit lighter.

How much weight savings does that get ya over a stock width rear, if the rims are the same weight?

Nice. Does that offset move the wheels in at all on the car, or leave them in the stock location?

The car already hooks killer. We are just always trying to upgrade and get the car down out of the wind.

Looks great!! good thinking keeping the OEM torque arm mount it's going to become an issue....

Does the Narrowed LCA use bushings or are you running rods ends with the 5/8 bolts without bushings?

Also the LCA holes look dropped a lot more than the typical 3 hole relocation, how far down are the holes located because I am going to run a 29 or 30" tire with the fender hight at 26 1/2- 26 3/4" and it seems like it'll have to drop a lot to get the LCA angle correct.

Oh and that rear looks bad ***, burkhart makes top quality stuff

The LCA mounts are a design that Chuck and I came up with.

The lowers will use a bushing to knock the holes down to 1/2" bolts.

oh I thought you would have had the LCA around 6" from the axle That's what my preliminary guestimation came out to.

Anyways hows the car repair coming? I want to see that thing on the track, besides I still remember that video of that nitrous car guy, I'd like to see you guys whooping his *** on a video =)

Let me check to see if I've got this correct. I'd like to fit a 15x12 under my formula once I get it running.
-Narrowed LCA mounts from stock to?
-What size OD LCAs are you running?
-Smaller 1/2 bolt size.
-Are they relocated inwards? The old inside the mount thing?

What backspacing do you plan on running to fit a 15x12?

All body mounts are in the stock location. The inner mount on the housing is in the stock location. We only narrowed the factory style mount. The factory bolts are 13mm so 1/2" isnt any smaller. We use a 1 1/4 tube for the lca.
