I am going to look into this option as well. The 1st Gen brakes are cheaper, but is it still cheaper once you factor in having to buy the spindle as well? And then you must buy different wheels, right?

oh, that looks nice...
but i was talking about a spindle/strut combo, suposed to "drop lots of weight"
I still cant figure the shock thing... are they adjustable or not?

Santhuff makes the best kit out there but will require you to fabricate your own upper and lower a-arms. If you are interested we are a Santhuff dealer you can give me a all here at the office.

So what is the benefit of going with the spindles if I can get the 4th gen brakes at about the same price and not have to swap out the spindle? Does it save a noticeable amount of weight going to the spindle as well? Sorry for the ignorance.

The spindle will save probably 20 lbs off the nose, plus the brakes will sav a good bit too. Burkhart is coming out with their own spindle that will use I do believe 3rd gen brakes and work with their a arms, I kinda wish I had known that before I bought the 4th gen aerospace hub brake kit, but oh well.
