Default Really not sure how tall of a tire to go with for my setup, heed some help

I've got an M6 with 4.10s and I'm trapping 118 right now. I don't have my eyes glued to the tach when I go through traps but It's revving pretty high with a 25.6" DR. I will be spraying a 150 shot and I'm going to go with a slick, I was thinking 28" or will this be too tall. Thanks in advance.

With the same setup as you have now, (M6, 4.11, 25.6" tires, 315 DR's in my case), I was only able to trap 124.5, 6800rpm limiter. Was on the 'limiter at the 1000' or so.

You can play around with that and see what you get with different tire sizes. I stepped down to 3.73's so I don't have to go to bigger tires. I like my 17's.

I'm on the same boat right now with my A4 / 4.10 combo. Trapping 117 and about to add a 150 shot. Should I go with a 28" tire or step the gear down??

Figure you could pick up 10-15mph from a 150 shot, so Travis can your combo do 127-132mph on a 26" tire? Might need to use an online calc to see what rpms you might be spinning. What rpm do you shift at now?

I'd try a 28" tire with that shot...

I doubt it. I actually haven't had any track time on the new 4000 stall yet but I seriously doubt it'll do that MPH on a 26" tire. The online calcs that I've seen don't ever seem even close to accurate with stalled automatics but I'll check the link out. Shifts are currently at 7000rpm. I guess I should just go out to the highway see how high I can go in 3rd gear.

Edit: I tried the calc linked above. That showed 132MPH in 3rd gear with a 26" tire, but I really doubt I'll see that kinda MPH, especially with an unlocked converter...

I'm a m6,26' tire on a 150shot i'm doing 134mph in the 1/4mi. My rev is at 7,200rpm's. A 28' tire will slow you down N/A.

Like Mike C. said, a 28" tire will slow down n/a run.
Check my sig below, both runs on 28".
I'm going to run 26" on motor next time around. Keep the 28's for the spray.
