What times should I expect?
Hey guys, got a question? I am having a Yank built Turbo 400 trans w/ 4000 stall & transbrake, bmr extreme duty torque arm, and custom denny's nitrous ready driveshaft and the other stuff to go along with everything: hurst quarter stick shifter and big tranny cooler all installed on my car at the end of next week, early week after. Any guesses on what kind of times i'll get with the mods I have in my sig (3.42 gears in the stock 10-bolt) (the cam is a 228/228 .588/.588 112) and some slicks? My previous best time was a 12.7x @ 114.92 w/ 2.2 60' (this was also untuned, I still have to tune it, which will be done after the tranny is in before I get to the track) and it bogged real bad off the line, like down to 500 rpm cuz i launched real low for fear of the rear and it took forever to get goin! I'm pretty sure I should get 11's, i'm just curious if you guys think it is goin to be low, mid, or high 11's. Thanks guys!
PS - Car right now is 3250 lbs w/o driver, I weigh about 223, so that's about 3473 lbs race weight (give or take a little for difference in weight of tranny's and driveshaft, although it has a steel driveshaft in there already so I don't know how much of diff it will be). Also, do you guys suggest a 26" tall slick, or 28" tall slick (tranny has 2.75 first gear)?

28 inch tire and I think you can run some low 11's.
Good luck to ya.

Re: What times should I expect?
Aight, i might go with the 28's, but could I put 'em on the 15x8's? Cuz the reason I want to get those rims is that I saw a thing on them in GM High Tech Performance and it says they fit perfect without having to grind the calipers or anything, so I don't know if the 15x10's would be the same. Plus, I like how they look and the price! If I got the 15x10's w/ the same backspacing as the 15x8's, would they fit the same?
Here's the specs on the rims:
15 in. x 8 in., 5 x 4-3/4 in. bolt circle, 5 in. backspacing, part No. 135806547 $257.90 (pair)
15 x 4 in., 5 x 4 3/4 in. bolt circle, 1 5/8 in. backspacing, part No. 135401547 $219.90 (pair)
the 15x10's i guess would be this, right?:
15 in. x 10 in., 5 x 4 3/4 in. bolt circle, 5 in. backspacing, part No. 135106547 $279.90 (pair)
Would those fit w/o any problems like the 15x8's do?
