Default What suspension to use??

I just got a new car 98 Firebird. Im going to be putting a BBC in it. What kind of suspension would you guys recommend? I was looking at BMR K member with BBC mounts. Tubular upper and lower A Arms Coil over. What brand weld in subframe connector would you guys recommend?

Hooking a BBC and using the torque they make along with dealing with the added weight to the front, I would think you'd want to go with a full drag style chassis. Why not PM a couple of the chassis sponsors and see what they think.

We do a lot of that type of work. Are you looking for just the front suspension or the whole car?

Our front end is set up to use motor plates and retains all of the stock suspension mounting locations. We can also set up the rear for a drag car as well.

I happen to have a set of BBC motor plates now that are for sale and designed for an LS1 engine bay.

Let me know if you would like to talk over options.

How fast is the class you want to run? If it is faster than 8.50, you will need a 25.5 chassis. If that is the case, I wouldn't worry about subframe connectors, I would just talk to a good chassis builder. BMR and Burkhart are both very good at what they do. BMR makes all the parts you need, front and back (except the rear housing). Burkhart is also a custom chassis shop that could do the whole thing including the cage. I would talk to both of them.

If you plan to go that fast we can definately work with you. We have done a few outlaw cars and work with a lot of the LSX Drag Radial team.

Check the Drag Expo album here to see one of the outlaw cars we did.

Sounds cool, we need a class like that around here. He definataly needs to talk to a good chassis shop. Putting a 25.5 or 25.2 in an f body is not an easy task.
