I need to thank Erik for putting in some extra hours getting this finished up this past weekend. I've got a lot of work ahead of me in the next few weeks. I didn't get a picture of the diagonal bar across the roof. It all seems to tuck up as tight as possible. I'm glad that I went with the custom cage instead of a kit. He fabbed up a parachute mount for the car to just incase it's needed.

Now it's time to get the motor plate installed, clean up the wiring, a little extra work lightning the front end, and a coat of paint up there too.

Dang, you plan on going 155+ with the LT1? What's your anticipated raceweight?

I hope to have it down to 3100 or so. I'll just have to see where I end up. With any luck I should be in the 145-150 range on both stages.

Car is looking good

I like the chute mount, but I may end up waiting to do my chute until a little later this spring. Gotta finish up a few things on the car first and get it running, plus a fogger might be coming my way here soon

Did Eric make your steering shaft? The way mine is made it sometimes binds a little and its close to the headers, but that one looks like it might even clear my headers since the upper knuckle is closer to the column.

Yes Erik made the steering shaft. I originally ordered a k-member for the stock rack but for the price he gave me I had him do the manual rack and shaft.

My fogger is sitting behind me as I sit here.

looks pretty good, better than most do. how much spray are you going to use? and on your chute, no launcher? it should be in the wind enough, but i kinda like the security of knowing it will catch air lol
