Thanks for the congrats Dave. Actually I took out Merkle in the 2nd round and it was a really close race. I cut a bad light but I ran dead on my 10.50 dial. A 10.508 and Merkle had a slightly better light but ran a 10.10 on his 10.00 dial. I was really excited to see the win light come on. Merkle is a pretty cool guy and came over to my pit area with a congrats. I got to tell you I was lucky that round but all the other rounds I cut pretty dang good pro tree lights. In the final round I cut a .515 for the win.
Last night the NMCA had a EFI quick 8 and Merkle won that one but I took runner up. He ran a 9.98 on the juice to my 10.39 on motor.

The DA was +3200 yesterday and it was even hotter today. Don't matter to me about weather, being at the track and competing is where it is at for me.

Derek, thanks man. It was a long wait but I'm back and getting some well needed seat time.

Joe, I bought Bev a new dress last year. I getting me an electric water pump from Thunder instead . I ordered one a few days ago from Paul. I need to cool the hot rod down between rounds. Man Joe, this is one kick *** bracket set up. It is consistant as hell. You can't win no $cash$ with a TNT time slip buddy. Oh ya. I'm ordering one of those TAG weather stations too. Bevs old dress looks great Joe I'll buy her a new dress next year.

Congrats Tom! I've heard NMCA is having troubles, but hey, are you waiting for a 10K check? I didn't expect so. LOL They do need to fix wehatever problems they have though.

Regarding the check, cash it as soon as you can! It's no secret that the NMCA is having problems. The first 5 out of the last 6 events have been seriously hammered by rain and hail. It's killed their spectator and racer turnout as well, which just adds to their financial issues.

It's also very unfortunate that Gary Stroud was involved in a serious accident on the way to PA. He's in critical condition last I checked with some serious head injuries, they had to put a vent in to relieve the pressure. I really like the format they provide, just a lot of very bad luck this year.

Robbie, The NMCA had a racers meeting following the finals and told everyone up front there was not enough money to pay both the winners and the runner ups. They said they had enough to pay the winners only. The winners decided to share their purse with the runners up. So instead of winning $500.00 I got a check for $375.00. When I picked up the check I reminded him I was EFI quick 8 runner up he gave me $250.00 in $$CASH$$. They are having problems but seem to be UP FRONT about it. The new President said he WOULD NOT write a bad check and I believe him. Anyway, it was a BLAST and I will do it again. The NMCA IS NOT folding and they are looking forward to the last 2 races this year and a good season next year. I hope they make it.

John, I don't know what I will do for an encore. I guess go to the next NMCA and try and win again. The next 2 are in Mich. and Columbus Ohio.

I'll buy Bev a new dress next year buddy. The color in the dress I bought her last year is still holding up pretty well.
