I'm looking into getting some ET streets and praying for the 10 bolt to hang on as long as it can. I need to know if I can tow the car home or will I have to trailer it home when the rear breaks

depends on what happens to it i believe

i know a few guys that where able to drive it 5miles or so afterwards

You'll have to flatbed or trailer it. Last thing you want to do is chunk the rear end up even more and break and axle, driveshaft or transmission. That's given that the rearend goes. If it's the driveshaft you can get it towed if you can disconnect the broken end from the rearend and tape the slip yoke into place to prevent oil from shooting out the tail shaft. If it's an axle or broken rotor (no c-clip eliminators so a broken axle can fly out and shatter the rotor in rare cases) then you need it on a trailer or flatbed as well.

Mine held up for a little while, emphasis on little.
