Anyone make block off plates for unused areas on the dash?
Does anyone make block off plates (like a radio and A/C delete plate) to match the dash? That is the only thing keeping my from pulling the head unit and HVAC controls is the unsightly holes that would be left there.

I just cut a piece of aluminum to fit and sent it out to get anodized black. Should look fine when it gets in. It's easy to do, just need to get a small plate of aluminum and cut it up. The edges can be rough because the dash bezel will cover them up.

I just made my own panel for the AC switch hole using aluminum sheet metal and painted it black myself. You could do the same for the radio if need be. I still have my stock radio installed.
I'm using the panel for the AC as a switch panel. Right now I have my line lock mounted there.

I used some generic ABS plastic for mine...
You should be able to pick some up from a car stereo install place or a local hobby shop...
IMHO, the ABS plastic looks a lot better than painted steel or aluminum.

What about using brushed aluminum and clearcoating it? I was thinking about doing that as a trim for the inside of my car. Anyone have pics like that?

ooooold thread but, i just made one this weekend. Can't hear the radio over the exhaust anyway. This will be the new location for the boost & fuel press gauge and the switches. I think it will look better than it does right now.

Its pretty straight foward. You will need 2 people to do it though. Just start unbolting things and it starts to fall out. There is 1 bolt you need to get to from under the hood for the hvac unit to come out and youll need to unbolt the 2 bolts from the steering colum and drop it down a bit. Other then that just go at it. Took me about 2 hours.
