Default How to get tar / rubber off the car?

I went to the track yesterday and the rubber was more watered down and stuck to the car pretty bad. What would be a safe way to take it off the paint?

I personally use gasoline. It works great for me. Ill use like soft Toilet paper to scrub it off. No problems for me and Ive been doing it for a while.

Yea I was thinking of using diesel fuel and then hose it off really good afterwards. But I was starting to think it would be to harsh. But I'll still see what others will say.

Try spraying Pledge furniture polish on the areas that get alot of build up before you run the car and it will keep the rubber from sticking and is easy as hell to wash off.Its cheaper than Geddex. Wd-40 is a good remover also.

With a couple coats of Zaino on the car it comes off easier
I have that, then I use a 50/50 mixture of Zaino Z7 car wash and water... spray it on liberally, rubber wipes right off.

I just use a pressure washer to blast the rubber off. It comes off pretty easy that way.

WD-40 here also. Finally got wise though and started putting a thin coat of Zaino on the rear fenders prior to going to the track. The next day I just wipe it off with a towel. Works great.

On the way home from the track, I use the high pressure washer at the local car wash. I like to get it off as soon as possible after drag racing is over.

i have used burnout guard for the last year or so, and that stuff works great! I left it on for 3 weeks one time, and still came off with just soap and water.

you mean you actually take all the rubber off that your car worked so hard to put there just to make you smile? Dayum. I wait til it starts to peel off from its own weight, takes about 2 weekends (20+runs) or so and it gets heavy enough you can watch t peel right off.

Damn, that sure does have to be a lot of rubber for it to peel off itself, lol
