Default Stall speed vs launch RPM, any theories?

Just curious what people are trying when launching. I now have my TH400 in the car and the transbrake is wired into the two step. Just curious what some of you guys are doing to launch hard and get low 60's.

My first times down the track with the TH400 were impressive but my 60's were a little high IMO, around 1.60 to 1.63 60's all weekend. I was only launching at 3900 at the most on a 4000 stall converter. Any thoughts?

Try only bring the RPM to 2000 when staged and flash the converter on go. The TCS converters seem to like this. I cut my best ET's and 60's off of the foot like this. I don't even use the brake or 2-step any more.

Did that, the time was a little less than off the brake, by .08. Also tried to flat stab it off the line. Same results and the 60's were all very close, within .05 of each other.

Also, as far as pinion angle goes I have it set to -2. The car launches, lifts the front end and carries it nicely. The tires wrinkle slightly but never blow off the car or even spin 1 turn (that's nice for a change!). I'd like to get them to spin, so I think I'm going to turn it up a bit and see what happens.
