Default 27x10.5x16 Trap RPMS?

Alright I've searched and searched till I'm tired of searching and I've used probably 10 or more gear/tire calculators. The calculators work great as a learning tool but there's nothing like actual results from other members to ensure what I've read is accurate. I am getting an excellent deal on a set of 27s but I'm still not convinced if I should buy these tires or not. I want to know what you guys are turning RPM wise when you go through the traps with the 27" tires. My mods are in the sig except my gears (410s). I want to at least hit the 6500 mark when I hit the traps, will the 27" be too tall or should I stick with 26s?

Thanks!

ttt

Man I thought at least a few people would be running a 27 inch MT ET Street. I need some input on this issue if anyone can help.

Thanks!

unless you're running nitrous you probably won't be near 6500. i had those tires on last year(but 3:89 cogs) and at the end of the 1/4 at 125 mph i was nowhere near 6600, maybe 6k or so if that.

Thanks for the reply!

I guess I'm just being cheap, I can get a like new set of 27s for $175 or a new set of 26s for $380. I want to go with the lesser price but I want that 11sec time slip worse out of my new setup. I going with the 26s, done deal!

Thanks!
