I was told 65-75ftlb of torque awhile back. But noticed that after first time of tightening them down that they will come loose after a pass or two. So I check them every couple of runs. And normally after the second time they don't move.

Again, wheel torque has nothing to do with the wheels BUt depends solely on what size studs you have. If they are stock f-body studs then they are 12mm and they torque to 70-80 ft lbs. Because the wheels are aluminum and the studs are steel they expand at different rates when they get warm, this causes them to loose their torque little by little through each heat/cool cycle. Aluminum wheels should always be retorqued every 20-25 miles until they stabilize. Overtorquing studs leads to bolt stretch which will cause them to fail faster. Don't take a chance.

80 on Pro Stars. More can damage the wheel. The center floats in the wheel and more than 80 can crush it.

X2 Summit told me not to go crazy with it or you can damage them. They said just to tourqe them to stock specs.
