I ran a set 2 season's ago, they didn't work bad. I had the best luck with them at about 15 psi hot, 13 psi cold, but the car was 3620 lbs then.
Best 60 foot I had with them was a 1.51, but I think if I put a set on now I'd have no problems getting into the mid 1.4's n/a

They put the warning on probably because someone either wrecked a car and tried to sue because they say "DOT" approved, either that or some tree hugger in a local government compalined to someone, and someone made a phone call or 2, that's how these things usually happen

I still street drove them, they still do have a DOT number on them, but if you get a cop in a bad mood thats not the best thing in the world to have printed on the side of a tire.

I'm running the 27x11.5s also and so far I've had a 1.62 on motor with them.
I did notice that the new ones have the DOT stamp on both sides but they also say "For Offroad Use Only, Not for highway use".
