Heater fan and A/C removal??

Heater fan and A/C removal?? Anyone who removed A/C noticed that there is a big blac box (the heater core???) on the passenger's side? I think this restrict access to the passenger's side of the motor and is cosmetically ugly so I would want to remove that stuff? Is that feasible and how could it be done?

Re: Heater fan and A/C removal?? You have to pull the dash and get a plate to block off the hole. It is about 30 pounds give or take a few, but you will have no heater, defroster, or air moving through the car.
