Default best dzus fastener kit to use for VFN hood???

I have a Sunoco 6" VFN cowl hood for my 95Z and I want to use Dzus fasteners to pin the hood down. I plan on 5 on each side and 3 in the front to hold the thing down....

Any tips on what kit is the best. i looked on summit and the harwood setup looks nice. It only comes with 10 and i need 12 but I can buy some individuals after I get the 5 on the sides done....

anybody got any ideas/tips?????

I used the moroso dzus fasteners with the lightweight mounting tabs. THey worked well for me. It was a tedious job, and it took a while but I am fairly satisfied with the results. I am sure any kit you buy will do the job.

VFN sells dzu fasteners. If you got your hood from them just give them a call and talk to them about it.

yeah that's what someone said in the bodywork section...... are most of you guys fitting your own hoods or having a bodyshop do it???? I was originally going to have it professionally fitted but after looking at it I think i'm going to put the tabs on first after setting the height and then locating the holes and drilling the holes for the dzus into it..... Doesn't seem to be that hard....

I'm up in the air on mine. The body shop said $500 to fit it and paint it, so I'm thinking it might be worth the money to just let him do it. But I'm always up to doing any work I can myself...

.

I use moroso also, but that's what they stock locally. They have been nice, never any problems.
It's not that hard, mock it up & take your time. Make you you have enough in the front & rear. Good luck.
