i personally recommend them, we dropped a tenth in the 1/8th and gained 1 mph in the 1/8th

dropping a tenth and gaining 1 mph could be different weather, hooking better, driving it a little different. that SMALL of a gain wouldn't have anything to do with the skinnies.

Same day at the track I switched my 17x9 SS wheels
and ran prostar skinnies. Absolutely no et reduction in the 1/4. Im sure skinnies would help if the car had a drag suspension.

well would you believe this is on the same day at the same track the only differences in the two passes are my husband ran the first pass and I ran the second I think w/short belt mod, I have all my timeslips listed in an Excel file and the first pass says "no short belt" but the others dont so that is also a posssibility. so the that probably helped to But here are the slips, back to back runs.
1st pass:
w/stock front wheels
1.667 - 60'
4.959 - 330'
7.737 - 1/8
88.27 - mph

2nd pass:
w/skinnys
1.608 - 60'
4.878 - 330'
7.629 - 1/8
89.02 - mph

So I would say it probably helped the 60' more than the anything, which in turn makes everything else better too I have run drag wheels on my car when my car was running mid 12's with the stock converter and think that is one of the best mods I have done. So it would definately be worth the money to a faster car. JMO

Close to 1 tenth and 1mph. Potentially more if the weight rransfer helps your 60ft. I've had them a couple of f-bodies and seen this. They are rotating weight so they benefit more in the weight savings department than say a k-member that reduces weight the same amount.
