Default 1st Time to the track and good results

Well first time in this car.... I wasnt sure how my Nitto's were going to hook at the track and i babied it out of the hole on the first launch. I left at 2200 and low and behold a 12.852@ blank.....no MPH. I didnt understand either but man was i happy. It was a 1.867 60'. I was ready to go again so i hot lapped it and it was the begining of the night so i was right back up there. I tried to leave at a little higher that time and cut a 1.842 60' but ran a 12.943@106.032
The third and fastest run of the night was when i flashed the converter out of the hole and cut a 1.747 60' and ran a 12.801 @ 106.118.
Would i of ran quicker and had a better 60' if i had taken off my front sway bar?? I still need to purchase a TQ arm. How much better would that help me launch?? I am running my 245/50 Nitto's @20 psi hot i am not spinning at all out of the hole. It was about 88 degree's and about 74% humidity. I know it has 12.7's or 12.6's in it because i had my rearseats in it and my sub box and amp rack and a half a tank. Now i need to install my LS6 intake and get crackin on my ATI kit. To say the least im happy.

Congrats! Sounds like you enjoyed the experience. Loose the front swaybar, it will help weight transfer and keep your nittos planted. The stock Tq arm is good until you start running 11's. The LS6 intake will be good for at least a .1 sec reduction in ET.

Your ETs will come down as the temp & humidity decrease, at least .2-.3 sec.

The biggest ET reduction will come from a high stall converter, vigilante 3200 is always a winner, keeps the car drivable too.

Good Luck with the car at the strip!

im still running my stock Tq arm and cutting 1.55-56's cam only. Plenty are running the stock one and cutting 1.4's also. Save that 300 bucks and spend it elsewhere. You et's will get better as your 60 drops and the weather cools up. No doubt you should be in the low 12's for sure this fall.

i always take out my seats, but leave the sway bar and etc on the car. My best 60 before the cam on those 245/50/16 nittos was a 1.58, but after I did the cam it was harder to find a good launch rpm and i spun to 1.64-66's. I left at 1800 rpms and rolled ALOT into the throttle.

Thanks guys. Ill be installing the LS6 intake this week. I was hoping to break into the 12.7's as the night went on but humidity killed that. Being only .002 away from 12.7's and adding the intake i should be running 12.6's. I think a cam swap for a little larger cam is in order.

Congrats on your times.
Sounds like you had fun.
What rpm are you at across the finish line with those gears?
