Installed/Tuned by Vengeance Racing
Compression 11.8:1
Timing 26*/Air Fuel 12.6-12.8
PUMP GAS

Final #s after a brief break in are 603rwhp/563rwtq SAE.... Unfortunately we have found the limits of the FAST intake. Map readings went from 98 to 93 from 4000rpm and up....We disconnected the intake tube and tuned speed density and saw no improvement in MAP readings. I think our customer is going to enjoy his new combo for a while and then head back over for a custom sheetmetal intake and larger TB. I am confident we can see 630s out of this combo on pump gas with the new intake and a few break in miles!!!

That is sick. It is amazing what the extra bore and cubes will do for a motor. Great work again.

P.S. I looked at my MAP reading and it goes from 101kpa to 97kpa. Not near as bad as this motor.

What do you think is the cause of the torque dip from 3K-4K rpms? I've been seeing a few vehicles lately, like one in this section, that have this same dip when using the FAST intake. Some say its over cammed, could be, not sure on this setup though, 440ci eats duration pretty well. Is it something with the fast intake? Maybe the stepped headers killing low-end torque? I would have expected at a minimum 450 rwtrq at 3K rpms, probably closer to 480 given the cubes.

My 416 has exactly the same dip. I couldn't get rid of it. I just thought it was in my tune. There may be more to it though. Either way it is only worth 10rw or so.

That maybe true, but the rwtq is what is really being affected downlow. Rwhp downlow has nothing to do with how fast you get the car moving, its all in the lowend torque.

I was talking about the tq. At least on my car and my dip it would only be 10 or so RWTQ.

Amazing Ron. You guys need to help me spec a 500+rwhp N/A (through the A6) combo that will take a 150-200 shot too. I'll be calling you.

very nice looking motor!! Nice numbers as well. Not the first time a fast has been maxed out at that power level. Nice to see the sheetmetal intake graph overlayed on the fast intake graph when its all done. Nice work Ron!!
