Default Kaltech Tuning and Performance Z06 Killer Package for the LS3..

Here's the setup for our new Z06 Killer Package for the LS3's. It consists of Kaltech ported LS3 heads, Kaltech custom 230 cam, and a Kaltech tune. This is all through a stock intake manifold which chokes the heads off by 30 cfm, so we're really looking forward to the ls3 fast intake being released. Peak numbers on the mustang dyno were 505 rwhp and 446rwtq. For reference this same car on the same dyno made 412/400 with boltons and a tune. Driveability is great with this setup. On stock gears you can drive the car around with just the clutch, no need for the gas pedal as there's plenty of off idle torque. Here's the dyno sheet:

Very solid numbers! Looks like a great grocery getter package that'll tear it up at the stoplight drags!

Damn, for just ported LS3 heads, a mid-sized cam, and a tune those are some awesome numbers. Makes me want an LS3 that much more. Can't wait to see the results when the FAST LS3 intake comes out.

the bolt on ls3 made 412rwhp on thier dyno you can say that mustang dyno is reading about the same as a dynojet. I dont see bolt on ls3's making 430 on a dynojet.. more like 400.

no it's 20 lower than a jet.. a local jet btw.. Stock ls1's can't crack 300 on our's.. btw on CF stock ls3's are in the 390whp-408whp range from what i seen.. So +headers avg 30hp or so.. 430-440 seem's right in line w/ what we got.. ..

We dynoed this car on a local dynojet and it made 524 rwhp. Here's a comparison for you as well
https://ls1tech.com/forums/dynamomet...w-catback.html

Our car as a bolt on when it made 412 had ARH headers, x-pipe, z06 exhaust w/butterflies always open, callaway honker (gained 9 by itself), ported tb, and tune. So even if you only add 10hp for the intake and tune to the example above that puts us right where we should be.
