Default I need you guys opinion!!

I have a 98 Trans Am A4 , 61k miles, with LT headers, Cam (i dnt know what size but i think its a 224 or 242) true duals, no cats, slp air intake w/ k&n, stock ls1 intake manifold, ported t/b oem, and all freebies done. I took my car to get a tune because of the idle problems i was having. well long story short, my max numbers were 335rwhp/323rwtq. On my opinion i think the numbers are kinda low.. any ideas why?

thanks

The ls1 intake is holding you back. There is a big differance from a 224 to a 242 cam??? Also what converter do you have? What kind of dyno? What elevation are you at?

I am guessing the tune, LS1 intake, and what type of dyno was it? Also, there is a huge difference between a 224 and a 242. do you have a graph?

edit -sorry posted same time as conan.....

you will really need to post the graph... the converter was never locked on the dyno? Your numbers arent really far off with an auto, 224 cam and LS1 intake. Put a LS6 on and you will see a nice gain. Also, who tuned the car? do you know what the A/F ratio range was? Timing? what type of wheels and gears do you have (guessing stock)

Do you know the tuners name? One post you say the HP curve picks up at 4200 and in another you say it drops after 4500... where is the hp peaking at? how does the car idle, is it smooth, sort of lopey, ect....? you really need to find out as much about the car as possible. How did you find this tuner, did you just call around or did someone refer you?

do he pulled the car with the lid off? If so, go find another tuner. Basically sounds liek your tune is off, ls1 intake is holding you back and have the converter locked on the dyno. What is the correction factor of the graph?

didnt mean to create confusion here, i wasnt looking at the graph at first but now i am. the car runs good, way better then without a tune, the car will stall and drive rough, now it feels better no complaints about that but i was expecting higher numbers.

well the unlocked converter (although I am not familiar with the 4l60e stalls) willeat up some power and the intake is holding you back.... if the tune is one, lock the converter on the dyno and get a LS6 intake ($300 on here at any given time) and you should see more of what your looking for. What are you expecting though? I would only guess 380max given your mods with a ls6 intake and vert locked with a spot on tune, but more likely in the high 360's to 370's. take atleast 10 away with the LS1 intake

not just the intake alone giving the numbers you posted... but again, you never know. take it out to th etrack and see how it performs. Dyno numbers aren't everything especially wen you dont know whats in the car. I am putting out those numbers guessing that there is a 224/224 114 cam in the based on what you are saying, but you still have yet to tell me where the torque and hp peak.
