PRC 2.5 59cc heads before and after dyno #s
Guys I know when I was searching on these heads it was hard to find alot of info with a setup like mine. I figured maybe this thread would be valuable to others since I have solid before and after dyno #s.
My initial setup was stock heads with a TR224 114 cam, LS1 manifold, stock lifters, Pacesetter LT ORY and a Hooker CB. The car put down 368 HP & 358 TQ on a Dynojet.
New setup is TSP PRC 5.3 heads milled to 59cc(TSP might know the exact compression) LS6 manifold, Powerbond UD pulley, LS7 lifters and trays. Also used stock GM gasket kit. After tune at Race Proven Motorsports again on a Dynojet it put down 414 HP & 395 TQ with a nice flat torque curve.
Now I know there are TONS of guys faster out there but for my needs this car pulls HARD. I attached a pic of the dyno sheet, I hope this hopes those searching for PRC 2.5 head performance!

That's a really big gain. It's a shame you don't have a before and after dyno overlay. That would really be helpful.

Nice numbers, Richard! Your static compression with a 59cc, GM MLS gasket, and no valve relief would be about 11.4:1. It would have been nice for sure to see the before/after over-laid! But no worries....just enjoy your new-found power!

Man that is a really nice symmetrical HP/TQ curve. I like the way it hangs on from 5500-6500 RPM's. Very well-balanced power curve.
Everyone is going to ask you if you are sticking with that cam, or will you get the itch to see what a somewhat 'bigger' cam might do with that added compression? Running fine on high octane?
Personally, I like that combo. Congrats.

This is it for the car, I am done and I can gurantee you that. There will be no further mods, she is a weekend crusier. I plan on keeping the car forever, I don't want to be that 50+ year old guy who complains about giving up his childhood muscle car and regretting it. But seriously, this is it as far as performance mods go.

i had the TR220 on a 114lsa,good little cam..as far as off the shelf cams go,Thunder Racing is hard to beat..
but knowing what i do now i would go with something along the lines of a 220/224 111 lsa..
congrats..

nice!!!
It gives me something to look forward to .
I've got the same heads on the way for my TBSS. 224/230 112+4 cam though. It put down 397/395, so I'd be interested in seeing what/where the power gains are.

The car drives just like the curve looks on paper, and by that I mean the torque really pulls the car strong with no hesitation across the powerband. I drove my neighbor in it today on the highway for a 50 mile roadtrip, and he was impressed by the fact that everytime I downshifted she didn't hesitate or skip a beat, the car accelerated strong throughout the powerband everytime.
