Stick with the LS6 and send it over to TPiS for their 90mm TB conversion. That setup would most definitely crush the competition and put you even and maybe just over what a box stock FAST would produce. It's only $350-400 I believe too?
If you do a google search, you'll find a thread where a gentleman did this with a bolt on 02 Z06 and he picked up quite a bit of power all across the board.
Good luck

Next week Ill be going a BBK 85 unported vs LS6 with a 85, and stock ported TB.
I did a ported fast85/85 (78 modded to 85inlet,w/85mm TB) when I was bolt ons last year, and gained 1hp. Did a FAST92/92 a few weeks ago and only gained 3whp. very unimpressed for the money.

i did it and got a NW 90mm tb, but i also did an over the radiator CAI at the same time.
without a tune, the increase throughout is just ridiculous. i can't really step on the gas anymore from a roll, b/c it will break the tires loose without trying. i could break the tires loose before, but had to give it more gas.
anyway, i am really happy with the it, and the work they did is excellent. they used some CNC brackets to reinforce their work.
