Default H/C stock stall ls2 low #s?

Just dyno'd a ls2 vette yesterday, heads cam package from liv, 236/.598 114 cam, and their heads(don't know which. stock inj, longtubes, stock catback. Car is an auto with stock stall! eek! but anyways Another shop had tuned it and for some reason only laid down 330hp! Anyways I was there to fix the problem, but I was only able to get 400rwhp out of it and 370ftlb. Although a major improvement, is this normal? I was under the impression that the ls2 cars liked less timing than an ls1 car, but this one just didnt want to run with 24-25 degrees. I tried everything in the world, and just didnt like how much I was having to lean the PE table to get it to not be pig rich. Best #s were at I believe .99 or so in the upper range on PE and 29 degrees of timing. This was basically flatlined at 12.5 AFR and up to 12.7 from 5700-redline. Car kept making power the closer to 13.0 I got it, but they were happy with what it was and were just looking for driveability, so I quit when they said it was good. Car idled great at 750rpm and never missed a beat, but man, I was shooting for at LEAST 415rwhp. Any ideas?

Well the stock cat back is leaving some hp on the table. I would get bigger injectors too. Any cam with over .550 lift should not be using stock lifters.

The stock GM lifters are not designed to go over .550 lift.Anything over .550, you should be using roller rockers. Post up specs of your cam.

Didn't ever know GM lifters were lift-limited...care to share why?

Roller rockers for over .550" area great idea for reduction in rocker, valve, and guide wear but have nothing to do with leaving power on the table...they usually make the best #'s.

If there's any issue here, it more than likely lies in the H/C combo itself.
