Talking Geoff at EPS is the man!

Took the 02 firebird to Geoff at Engine Power Systems in Baton Rouge yesterday. He pulled the lazy Texas Speed tune and custom tuned the car and made some late 400 pulls on nitrous! He set the car up safe and still got the numbers we were looking for! Thanks Geoff for all the hard work man! Ill email you with some slips!

kind of pointless thread without telling anybody what your setup is, what you changed, and how much power you picked up.

Was it a mail order tune if it was lazy, sounds like you were the lazy one for not getting it tuned right from the beginning, throw us some more bones on the numbers and mods to help us better understand.

Well okay, 02 FB full wieght. Stock bottom end, PRC stage 2 heads, 228r cam, LS6 intake, stock TB worked over, 1 3/4 headers through exhaust, 150shot HSW wet kit, Precision 3400 conv, 3.73 through 10 bolt. Car went to the track w/ fresh trans on new tune and tapped rev limiter in 1-2 shift and banged the limiter to 3rd. It wouldnt shift until traps. The car would hardly run with the "custom" mail order tune. After a day w/ Geoff you can actually hear the difference in the car! OH, and now it will actually shift! The car went 11.57 @ 118 w/ no third gear and a 100 dry. Definitely made a major difference in the "seat of the pants" feel. When it stops raining in the south on a weekend we will see how much difference was actually made.

I would imagine the mail order tune was to buy time until you can get it a real dyno tune.. at least that is how I have viewed mail order tunes that come with heads/cam and the like.

In all fairness, it's damn near impossible to nail down a mail order for a heads/cam/stalled A4 car. That kind of stuff needs to be tuned on the spot, and on the street for true accuracy. TSP didn't have the opportunity to tune the car on the spot, as Geoff did so bashing their "lazy" tune is not comparing apples vs. apples.

Congrats on your setup getting dialed in. Geoff has been around the game a long time and knows his stuff.

I saw you running at Twin City a few weeks ago, congrats on getting the car straightened out.

Geoff is good at what he does. He helped me to get my Nova to idle with a big cam. now it absolutely never surges.

your choice of vocabulary is crappy considering it looks like you got quite a few parts from them which are yeilding your nice track times.

Awwwww, I didnt mean to blast your bros! My vocabulary probably sucks, sometimes its hard to tell what people are actually saying on these posts and the actual meaning of the things they say, take now for instance, in case you cant tell I am actually being a DICK! I dont care if I have a hundred thousand dollars worth of TS crap on the car, the tune wasnt right, I had it fixed by Geoff, end of story. The car was tuned as close as they could possibly get it with out having it in front of them, it doesnt change the fact the tune wasnt correct for the car. Now I will be pulling the 60E out to have the 3-4 clutches replaced because the tune wasnt close enough! It didnt come from TS!

lots of people on here think that if they take up for a certain company that they get discounts it seems. i would not sweat it, Geoff fixxed your ride with a good tune.

he has helped me a lot on my race car. I now have a very pleasent car to race.
I reach in the door hit the ign switch on, hit the starter button and walk away.

That is with a 347 and a 239/243 @50 cam.
