Default Dynoed H/C AFR's. I wanted more though!!

First I would like to give a very thanks to Rev Xtreme in Fla for helping me today. Those guys are awsome. I recomend them for all your high performance needs Anyway Overall I am happy but thought the car had a lil more in it with the heads. Mods in sig I was hoping for 420 rwhp 400tq. But got 413rwhp 391 trq. What do u guys think. I know with a ported fast I will gain more. Anyway it is just numbers. The car is a beast now Pulls like crazy from 3500 to over 6000. My cam specs are 222/228/115 pretty conservative. From my cam only to this I gain 33rwhp and 31lbs of trq. Does that seem normal for these heads and my build That is including tuning. Anyway I like the curve. Have a good day.

Standard Numbers are 422 rwhp and 400Trq. All this is in hot sunny Fla.

The numbers don't look too far off to me for the mods. The gains look to be within reason.

its to par w/ the cam size.... get a bigger cam in the 230/240 range and watch it jump upto 460ish

If 413rwhp 391rwtq was your numbers from Cam, AFR heads, and bolt-ons (even with out an aftermarket intake) IMO thats really bad!
Something is wrong!
I made 414rwhp and mid 370rwtq with bolt-ons STOCK LS1 intake and an MS4 cam through an A4.

I'd venture to say that the cam's valve events are far from being optimum. The setup itself is just wrong IMO

get a custom cam and a FAST 90/90 and you should pick up quite a bit of power.

Bingo.

Can't throw parts together and call it a combination. I think a better suited cam will yield much better HP #'s.

I'd agree. You can't just slap heads on and expect huge numbers. I learned the hard way man. I selected a cam and then heads. I should've selected a set of heads for my 346 then had a cam ground to match the flow of the heads. At any rate that is what I did with Vengeance when I had them make some changes on my 402. I knew I'd be using TFS 215's, so we spec'd the cam around the heads. Not hijacking your thread, just trying to make a point. The best combos out there seem to have a good set of heads, (TFS, AFR, ETP) and a cam that matches the flow. For example, whats the point of having a cam with .647 lift and the heads don't flow past .600 ?? My TFS 215's flow well to .625 hence my lift numbers being .623 on the intake and exhaust. BTW my old cam had a .647 lift on the intake and my old heads were afr 205's milled to 58.5 cc's.

Bottom line, get a custom cam matched to the flow of your heads and watch your numbers go up, and torque curve improve. A ported fast intake would help too.

I would expect a little more out of the cam atleast closer to what I am making. I don't think I have ever seen anyone use a cam like that though so I don't know.

I dynoed the car in 100 degree air as well. It was hot yesterday.

How about trying again in English. You don't think it's bad enough alot of people can't type, now we have to sift through that crap?

Anyway, I actually expected a little more out of my setup too but i'm extremely happy with the drivability, my car runs perfect after the excellent tune Speed inc. put in my car.

Don't spend the money on the intake yet. Change cams. Much cheaper and will yield more power.

I was trying to talk like the typical PRC/TSP fanboi. Sorry you didn't see the sarcasm.

It looks like you have a nice torque curve.
