Default Dynojet reliability

Hello guys,

I just had a question to all you dyno tuners about the reliability and maintenance of a dynojet.

I'm just about to buy a 248x dynojet which is about 10 years old and wanted to know the reliability and maintenance cost you had with this?

its an above ground dynojet with 4 post lift.

Appreciate your feeback

I have had mine for a few years and never needed to do anything except replace the internal battery. I would not leave the stack unpluged for a long period of time.

your was a 48 or a 24? I know that they are low-maintenance, just worried if anyone heard about any inertia drums failing in the dynojet.

Other than the drums, i dont think the electronics would cost much.

appreciate more feedback.

thanks

I would be most concerned with how much knurling is left on the drum after 10 years of use.

we bought a 224 two years ago and for the first year, it sucked. we had to replace multiple stacks due to crappy reliability.

The last year though, no issues. (fingers crossed)

What parts did you have to replace? i thought that dynojet offers free replacement parts for first years.
