Default FAST 92 to FAST 102??? I Want to see dyno results if you have them!

Ok I'm not sure but has anyone seen any dyno numbers on the differences between switching from a FAST 92/92 to a FAST 102/102?

Just wondering if I should look into upgrading from the FAST 92 PTM 92 setup I currently have, and go with the Fast 102 / PTM 102 combo?

(I'm currently running a "N/A" 403 LS2 Stroker with a FAST 92/92 and Pacesetter 1 3/4" Longtubes and am thinking of going to a FAST 102/102 and 1 7/8" Longtubes!) I'm just trying to determine if the gain is worth the extra $ or not. I can sell my current setup and only be out a few hundred bucks all the way around....Roughly $400-$500.

Any and all advice will be helpful since I am really looking into doing this. Please help me out, and if you have any dyno #'s or graphs between the 2.... AWESOME!

Thanks
-James

Thats what I'm hoping to get.
I have stock untouched LS6 heads as of right now (other than PRC Dbl. Springs good to .650" lift), and I plan on putting this intake on and see what she puts down on the dyno as well as the track.

I'm not too much concerned with my dyno #'s as long as it performs well at the track. And I'm just kinda wondering if the FAST 102 and 1 7/8 Longtubes will benefit me a little /none/ or alot!

I won't go into much detail but 403 w/LS6 heads, FAST 102, 1 7/8" Longtubes, level 4 4L60E w/ Yank ss4000 Stall, 10 bolt w/3.42's --> 9 inch w/3.70's soon, 28" MT drag radials, and almost a full suspension.... Hoping for mid 10's NA!

Lets see some dyno graphs or any advice from someone... Thanks!!

I've been kicking around the idea of visiting my boys at Vengeance Racing and lending my car for testing. Can't get any time off from work, and I'm short on cash. I too need a buyer for my ported FAST 92mm (95mm inlet 95mm tb) to offset the swap and purchase of new fuel rails. We're in the same boat brother. Maybe if the weather was in the 70's/80's and sunny that would be enough motivation, but its about as crappy in Georgia as it is in SE Michigan. Thank god the sun is coming out for Tues, Wed, Thur, Fri !! I want to enjoy the corvette a little bit. Stay tuned.

I was under the impression the fast 102 was for rectangular port heads only??? Do they make a 102 for cathedrals?

FAST has released the cathedral port version of the 102mm intake.. We recently tested this against an LS2 intake on a C6 and picked up 40RWHP!!!!

hahaha lmao... Thats a good 1 man!

I'm always down to see Big Foot!

Ron, As for the intake, Could I expect to see 20 rwhp gain from going to a 102 from the 92 setup?

Isn't the LS2 intake worse than an ls1 intake in terms of power production? I thought that the factory car intakes were LS2<LS1<LS6<LS3<LS7 in terms of flow and power production.

To the original poster, at this point, your stock LS6 heads are probably the flow restriction in your intake tract, so I would venture to guess that your current 92/92 combo is sufficient till you increase the flow capacity of your heads.

Will find out today guys!!! I have a car on the dyno right now... It is a cam only LS1... It has a ported FAST 90mm on it already. We tuned the car yesterday/removed the 90mm and installed the last 92mm (ported) we have in stock.. This morning we will remove the 92mm and install a 102mm in its place and post up the results of all three tests!!!

Alchemist, Yes I agree the LS2 intake is not a great design by any means, BUT the results we got from adding the 102mm to the C6 were greater than the results we have seen in the past by adding a 92mm to the same combo.. We have never picked up 40+RWHP with an intake swap... I THINK the 102 does show greater potential than the previous 92mm... Again, we will find out in a few hours

I hear you Ron, and don't disagree at all. I just was temperring what you said before people assumed that swapping from any factory intake to a 102 would yeild a 40hp gain. It might only be a 30hp gain over an ls1, or less considering it's a smaller cube motor, and 20-24 vs. an ls6 etc etc.

Its been a long time coming, but the business of the shop dictates how much and how quickly "FREE" R&D work gets done. Lets all try to keep this in mind, and just be thankful that Ron and Vengeance Racing are actually taking the time to bring testing results to us to look at vs what some other vendors are doing. NOT putting any other vendor down, I'm just stating that Vengeance Racing is going the extra mile to validate, verify, prove or even disprove the benefit or lack of benefit the new FAST 102 mm intake has on various applications.

Thanks Ron !! BTW, I think you said it best when you said if it doesn't make power, then Vengeance Racing won't sell it.

Good stuff, Ported 90 to a Ported 92 to a Stock 102, this will give us Cam only LS1 guys a good eye opener to see what benefits the best set-up for us, I am assuming he has some bolt-ons too, thanks Ron.

Here you go guys!!! I did not graph the 90mm intake as it made the same exact power as the 92mm... I wanted to keep things as simple as possible for everyone....
