Default 2000 Trans am with lq4 results

I went to the track sunday and ran 11.32@121.3mph in full street trim at 3850 race weight so I decided to go tune the car on the dyno since only tuning done was at track and street with EFI Live by myself. Scheduled an appointment with Geoff at EPS and he got me in yesterday .

I was suprised to find that there was no more power to be had, first pull was 443/409 through the muffler. we tried timing and fuel adjustments with nothing to gain, opened cutout and made 452hp/ 422 tq.

Combo lq4 short block, milled 241 heads with mild porting done to bowl area and exh. ported. int. valves are farrea 2.02 and exh. are stock. Heads flowed 262 @ .600 int 219 exh. Very mildly ported. milled to 63.5 cc chambers and stock head gaskets come to around 10.3 compression.
Cam is an f14 on a 112lsa , fast 90 intake ported by Futral .Nick williams tb.
12bolt rear with 4.11 gears and 33 spline axles.

WE could not find any more power but Geoff did show me some things in my tune and improved on them while working on it. Geoff is very good at what he does and I appreciate all his help over the years . Great guy to deal with and good friend. My car drove great before but after his tweaks it has absolultely no stalling or bucking with the ac on.

nope, been there done that. I like my car in street trim. I have a 2600 lb nova with me in it for the diet . with a mis matched combo it runs 10.50's . The right converter, brakes and gear it will go 9's with no problem. just dont want to put money in it right now.
the trans am is an m6

Lq4 has dished pistons. Only 10.3/1 compression , no need to flycut

Because the ls1 short block started losing compression in #7. I had the lq4 short block for the Nova but wanted my trans am running for cruising the coast so i put it in the Trans am and built the ls1 block for the Nova.

That's a real nice time at that weight with a M6. Congrats.

Thanks, same thing happened with my Nova. After going to the track and just trying different things in the tune , me and geoff could not improve power on the dyno. Geoff just cleaned things up for me with tricks he knows on both cars.
