Default 2008 G8 GT with Maggie TVS 1900

A customer came to us with his 2008 G8 GT because of a motor noise. The car had a maggie TVS 1900 along with a Lingenfelter gt2 cam. Upon diagnosis we found that the G8 "specialist" shop he took the car to for the cam was nice enough to swap the cam and delete the DOD components but they left the stock pushrods and valve springs on the car. We also found the source of the engine noise and it came from 8 cracked pistons and 8 bent connecting rods. Needless to say the motor came out and we shoved in some Eagle rods along with JE pistons. We also performed our stage 1 port work on the heads and added our PAC 1221 spring kit along with 3/8" hardened pushrods. We put it all back together and were able to make 538/459 on the mustang dyno. There's still a little more in there as the tune was a little soft with the new motor and the motor wasn't fully broken in yet but the customer is plenty happy with it right now.

In general they are but the G8 has a pretty big heat exchanger and this is the 1900 only making like 11-12 lbs so it's not spinning real hard.
