Default Project OVRKILL: Virginia Speed RHS 460 - 803hp 698ft lbs N/A 93 Octane!

And the best part is that its all inside of 6500rpm!

Its been a loooong road and pretty stoked to finally post up in here. For those that have followed my "street" build, you know what I'm talking about. Special thanks to Shawn and company for putting this beast together!

Some of the key ingredients....

RHS 460 4.185 bore.
Lunati Pro 4.185 crank
Callies Compstar Rods
Mast C5r (Inline) heads
Kinsler ITB
Cam 25x 26x .68x lift 113

....and its pretty too

One of the 'weaker' runs, lol.

Pretty sure we're still uncorrected here. Havent had a chance to talk to Shawn about it. He may pop in here to provide some more info. Maybe bring a graph too....

Thanks Kevin! Well...yes and no. Everything is "on-site" to complete in install, but I have a feeling there will be a process of a partial install to check clearance to the cowl then decide what to do next - body shop? shim the K-member? both? etc.

Not a problem. Put a lift kit on it and some pimp 22" spinners.

Will there be any graphs posted?

I would love to see what the curve looks like.

BTW sounds awesome. I love the ITB throttle response.

Is it an artifact of how many data points were taken, or does the torque really ramp in that fast from 3700-4000 RPMs? It looks like it gets hit with a 100 shot of nitrous at that point in the graph.

it's not that it gained a bunch on power but it actually has 2 dips in it. The dips are caused by intake reversion and probably to some extend from exhaust reversion. there really isn't much sense in spending alot of time on the enigine dyno since the tune will change dramatically when it's in the car.

BTW-usually there is a tq spike when turning on n2o, not a nice gradual increase.

Nice curve. The itbs seem to have dips like that due to the intake charge pulses as stated before. They always look worse on the dyno graph than they feel in real life. In the car, it will feel like an electric motor. Just instant power from idle to 7k rpms (probably 7.5k on this build easy should the owner choose to go that high...way unnecessary though but overkill is overkill...).

I only had a 30rwhp drop off 1k rpm past my peak with my first 468ci itb, and suspect this engine will have a similar or much better drop off after it's 6500rpm peak with it's better heads and intake.

You are going to LOVE it Brent. Cubes and itbs are where it's at.

Thanks Roberto....those dips never bothered me for a minute. Its in good hands down there...

(lol, inside joke....)

Cant see this thing going beyond 7k and definately not 7.5....but there may or may not be one last kick at the can for one minor adjustment.
