Default vic jr 4150 TB, on a STOCK ls1. check out the gians

Stock LS1 (1999) swaped in a 1955 chevy, th400.
LS1 intake, unported TB, (running a 90 bend with a big 9inch cone) LS1 cam, springs, manifolds. Got it running tuned it, made sure it was a good core. Then customer wanted to make it look better with visual things, and wanted this intake.

Only change was a put of the box vic Jr, the rails, and a FAST (accufab) 4150 TB (no spacer) and a 14x3 air cleaner.
Was surprised to see this power curve, 100% stock internal.

The nay sayers will still say the fast 102 is what is needed. I love the curve and the 35 hp increase over stock. not a bad gain for little investement

Jesus, 35whp gain through an auto 0_0.

Around how much does that Intake and TB setup cost? How's it fit under a camaro/T.A hood?

Wow Mike. Thank you for sharing that. This is the kind of great test information that really helps guys make solid decisions.

Keep in mind that it lost 25 ft/lbs in the middle...might not be a great swap for a daily driver or street car, but I like it

And remember the tune was untouched from when it was tuned for previous setup.

The intake is $335 from summit and you can find the tb for $515 online as well. New of course. Or you can search classifieds and find them also.

It's a 1953 chevy,.... show/weekend cruiser. Its not raced, and will probably never go to the track. Or care about a custom newest lobe xyz under the curve setup. I saw the gains and don't think Ive ever seen anyone put this intake setup on a stock LS1.

Took a crappy pic with my phone, thought some stock internal guy might want to look into this. Do what ever with the info.

oh, you need rails. I think there $100. And you need fittings too.

If setup properly it will walk all over it at the track.

Single Plane Intake will own..the FAST Intake for the Square-Port Heads showed very little gain over the factory polymer ones.

I mean any of the Single Plane Intakes vs. any FAST ones for the L92/LS3 stuff.

The FAST has a pretty good improvement for the Cathedral Heads..GM did good with the Factory Intakes on the Square Port Heads. Whole different airflow dynamics between the two.
