I had this engine on the dyno in Feb and posted it in the carb section, not sure why I didnt post it here, since most guys stay out of the carb section, lol.
here is a link to the rundown on the engine:

Power fell off Fairly hard after 7500 on the couple that we took to 77,7800. Obviously I don't want to run it any higher than necessary on the oem bottom end/ heavy l92 valves, lol

Hmmmm, that was with the factory stock L92 valves? Pretty good then and no reason to upgrade to lighter valves if so.

Well, lighter LS3 valves would certainly add to valvespring life......, it just wasn't in the budget. As soon as funds allow, I will take it down and swap valves and put in good rods/ pistons

have you put it on a chassis dyno yet? Just curious... What the weight of the car?

We are limited to ~8,000 rpm with my setup due to factory pcm right now, what are you running, belt drive dist? Or the front cover ford dist?

For comparison we made 540 rwhp @ 7200 rpm, and it doesnt fall off much up to 7900, car trapped 136.7

Your car is running Big mph!, using a stick too! I LIKE it.
No chassis dyno. Car weighs close to 3425lbs w/ me.
I am using MSD 6012 box, no distributor.
I have had it to the track 1 time with this combo, and I made 5 passes, NONE were clean passes, but the best pass was 10.91 @ 130 with a disgraceful 60ft. spun HARD all the way through the 60
I think there might be 1 or 2 mph left in the combo, but I KNOW there is alot of ET left in it.

I Know how you feel with bad 60's and not getting clean passes. My old h/c went 10.95 @ 125 w/ 1.42 60' at 430 rwhp

Gained 110 rwhp, and now in destroying clutches, blowing the tires off, etc... And only going .3 faster.

I saw on YB you have the ram 470cw, and 5135 disc? What fw are you using? and is that disc part number 1363, (1 1/8"x26?)

Im thinking about buying a mcleod 360903 bb/long PP and a ram 1363 disc.... and building a hybrid clutch.
