Default Torquer V3 and 243 Results...

Ok guys. I finally got the car straightened out I hope. I knew she wouldn't be a dyno queen, but it runs and drives SO much better now that Vengeance Racing tuned on it. Drives around great now and will have track #'s this weekend if weather is good.

Torquer V3, PRC Stage 1 243's (hoping to change those soon)
LT's, 3" ORY, SLP LM1, 3200 stall, 9" Ford Rear.

393 RWHP/364 RWTQ with the converter unlocked.

Weighed the car yesterday with me (I'm 240) and 3/4 tank of gas and it's at 3740 lbs.

What kinda track #'s you guys think it will run?

Stock stall ? Rear end gears? Wheres the track located altitude and density altitude? At sea level my guess would be 12's but with a big stall and gear with good suspension it can be 11's

Solid 11's for sure...you may like a little more stall though...with that cam and gear...maybe around 3600-4000.

Glad to see your getting it lined out. Unlocked numbers seem pretty good. Now get it to the track and see how she does!

Yeah guys, I'm excited. Only getting to a 1/8 mile track this weekend. Been driving other peoples hot rods for 3 years now, glad to have one of my own going again.

Gonna try the stall out, I can have it restalled for free if I wanna loosen it up, but I was planning on spraying the car in the future is why I went with a little tighter converter.

Thanks for the info guys. Going to the 1/8 track tonight if the weather holds. Only thing that worries me is how heavy it is. With me in it It's 3740 (I need to go on a diet lol) car is 3500 with 3/4 tank of gas.

Mike, couldn't tell you my car had all more done when I bought it pretty much. All I can say is the LM1 is coming off as soon as I can afford it, obnoxious

Track Update for you guys.

Just got to the 1/8 mile track Friday night. Car ran 8.0's to 7.90's with mid 1.70 60ft at first. I kept getting a P0123 code for "high circuit TPS" I'd clear it and it would come right back. Car didn't pull that good.

BUT, after my friend got put out of the brackets we put his throttle body on my car and it ran (2) 7.73's @ 93 in a row. So, I need to get a new TB and go from there I guess.

Thanks guys

What should this car idle at guys? I replaced the TB with a stocker and its idling at 1000 after driving it for a while. I didn't pay attention to the idle with the old TB, thought I'd ask you guys before starting a new thread.

It needs to be adjusted in the tune.

Your times sound close to me. My car is similar weight and similar mods and runs 7.55@92mph and 11.92@112 (I think my MPH are low due to 3.42 gear and 28" tire). Your car will likely be faster in the 1/4...pushing a brick shaped car through the back half seems to hurt my top end.

dont know how aggressive your tune is, but i wouldn't go changing parts like that without monitoring KR and AFR. you may be able to get away with it if you take a light trip, giving the computer time to learn the change.
