Default Engine Dyno Results: LS3 427 639hp/610tq

Had a LS3 427 built... see specs below

*Posting this for informational purposes! Engine was dyno'd at Westech in So Cal*

I'm in Iraq and don't have the graph with me... it has a great torque curve. A bigger cam would make more power but I was looking for all around usable power instead of peak numbers.

All forged internals @ 11.2:1 compression
Mast Motorsports "Black Label" med bore LS3 heads
Comp LSL 239/247 .624"/.624" 114 cam
stock ported LS3 intake
Ported LS2 TB
LS7 injectors

Is that 4.070 bored stock block or a resleeved 4.125 bore block?

The output at the flywheel is very good.

I have a resleeved LS7 at 438ci (4.1" crank) with 12:1 on stock LS3 heads with lightweight s/s valves, stock LS3 intake, 92mm TB, mid length headers and tiny 235/242 .600 lift 115LSA cam. The headers were certainly choking it up but it made 530rwhp/510rwtq. The power falls flat at around 6K RPM and redline is 6600rpm. Mild road race motor.

Yeah, when I get home I'll be putting it in the C6!

I was really thinking of swapping out the 6L80e for a 4L65e via RPM or Race Proven Motorsports...the block is a stock bored 6.2 LS3.

gnx7- Hmmm... I would love to see about 530 at the wheels but I've been heartbroken in the past with stalled autos. See sig with my old '98 fbody. I also have 2" American Racing headers that will help this thing breathe!

Overall, it should be a fun N/A car that might go to the track once to hopefully get that 10 second time slip. The car ran a best of 11.3x at 123mph with AFR 205's and a 224 cam, stock intake, ARH 1 3/4 and Corsa Sports on the stock converter with 17" Hoosiers.

Deff a nice setup. Let me know if you have any questions about the swap. Stay safe over there.

Who spec'd the cam? You need a FAST 102/102 combo...

Firstly, thanks for your service!

My 427 is a Darton sleeved LS2 build. 4.125x4.00. WCCH Stage three L92 heads. Cam is considerably smaller than yours. "Modified" FAST 102 and a Nick Williams 107mm TB.

Engine dyno numbers were 656/615 as I remember.

RW numbers in sig. This is a VERY mild build that I can cruise a 600RPM in 6th gear and pull away cleanly.

Build thread.

Really Nice torque!! I'd rather have more weight with a 4L80E than mess with 65e stuff, even with the Billit 6 pinion planetary your still limited somewhat IMHO

The Fast on the LS3 is a waste of $. The cam in an "off the shelf" Comp cam.

Why go with LS3 heads over LS7? Wouldnt the LS7 heads flow better and make more power? Just curious...

My Girlfriend has a LS3 based 427 with Trick Flow 230's and a ported Fast 90 and a 247/251 cam and it put down 530ish rwhp with the converter locked.

Damn. Marry her.

Where in Nor Cal? I'm from Vacaville.

I can't wait to see what mine puts down on the dyno. Unfortunately it will be at least a year or so...
