Default New AEM Dyno Shaft

Read about these in this months GM high-tech. Pretty good idea if you ask me, although it would read a bit high since it will get a reading before the rear end.
Thoughts?

IIRC a user on this forum is the one who invented it and sold the idea/patents to AEM.

Do a google search of LS1tech and it might turn up

cant wait to hear about people using it. Was wondering if it would work on our cars, specifically if it will still fit on a car that has a torque arm mounted to the tailshaft.

"My car made 464 with jus' a MS3."

"Woah, to the rear-wheel?"

"Nope."

"Flywheel?"

"Nope. DSHP (Drive-shaft horsepower)."

I was leaning more towards its use as a tuning tool. Especially for guys that tune their own cars. Not for bragging rights.

Expensive tool. I could see uses for it but.... I bet changes in delivered tq (PID in the computer) are just as accurate as the AEM.

If you are at the track tuning you have et, deliverd tq, etc to tune from.
On the dyno you have the dyno readings too.

@ $20 a pull is a lot of pulls to pay for a $1100+ tool.

i agree, but you'll never have to make an appointment! Still a little skeptical about it myself.
