great results!!

I love seeing simple combos like this. Off the shelf parts making great, streetable power.

Another simple, effective COMBO!!!

That cam was going to be my next choice of cams before I bought my current one. Good curve!

I have always considered the SI5 cam. I am curious to see what it makes with some PRC 227 heads

how do you like that cam? I like mine but i really need to put some gears in to help wake up the low rpm cruise.

Couldn't tell ya, I haven't driven it yet as I am out of the country on business. That cam really shouldn't need gears but 3.73 would be a decent gain. You need a clutch by chance? I have a nice used LS6 for cheap. Got a crap ton of material left on it. Just came off my Z.

There are so many cams out there optimized for LS motors, it is unlikely most people need a custom grind. So many people run the same few intakes, similar heads, converters etc, you sure ought to be able to find several cams to choose from that are optimal from multiple vendors. I mean really, how many LS1s with LS6 intakes, 243 heads and an M6 or A4 with 3600 stall are there out there?

Exactly!! People act like these motors are new. Then you have a guy who gets a custom spec cam, and then cant figure out what heads will work with it. Then you have all the nuthuggers saying go with the most expensive heads...

People forget guys have been going 10's and 9's with simple combos with ls1 heads.

I definitely like the OP setup. Its a simple combo that made great power and i bet it wasnt an expensive setup.

no really it was a fairly cheap set up $1600 for heads $389 for cam 300 for injectors and 199 for under drive. then basically headers and one of the cheapest cat backs. so for the money i don't see why more of these cars don't have this type of set up. Well plus install but i did all my install myself.

This is what I love seeing. Someone that is actually honest in their HP numbers. Those numbers are very respectable with that heads and cam combo.

Great numbers/combo. This is why the SI5 is our most popular camshaft. To anyone looking for this cam, we have a current special running $549.99 shipped for cam (of any choice) 7.400 pushrods, and single springs good to .600!

i'm going to be doing a different intake and fuel rails in the future, along with a better exhaust set up. May even throw some juice on it!
